Hello, I’m Tracy.
I’m a Learning & Development professional and Instructional Designer specializing in leadership development, engaging learning experiences, and organizational change.
I bring together instructional design, training, video production, and visual storytelling to create learning that helps people grow, lead, and successfully navigate change.
My approach combines adult learning, accessibility, user-centered design, and creative strategy to create experiences that are meaningful, memorable, and practical.
ReThink Relevant
I created ReThink Relevant as an Instructional Designer for Colorado Mesa University with the support of my Director and Associate Vice President, Gillian McKnight-Tutein, EdD who is now Senior Educational Equity Officer for the Colorado Department of Higher Education and continues to be a strong mentor for me. We wanted to start a conversation about how professors and students view online learning, and challenge them to look at distance education from a new perspective. I wrote, filmed and edited this video and enjoyed collaborating with professors from many different disciplines.
NKU
Study Abroad
Northern Kentucky University’s Study Abroad program commissioned me to create a marketing video showcasing the impact of international learning experiences. I accompanied a nine-day History study abroad program in France, documenting students as they explored significant World War I and World War II sites, including Normandy, the trenches of the Somme, and Pegasus Bridge.
I produced and filmed the project, capturing both the historic locations and the students’ experiences to tell a compelling visual story. The finished piece combined marketing, documentary filmmaking, and educational storytelling to help prospective students envision the academic and personal value of studying abroad.

ePortfolio Project Manager
As ePortfolio Project Manager at Colorado Mesa University, I led implementation of the university’s strategic ePortfolio initiative, aligning the project with institutional goals and regularly reporting progress, adoption, and key milestones to the Academic Council and Board of Trustees.
I created this informative video to provide stakeholders with a concise visual narrative of the initiative’s objectives, accomplishments, impact, and future direction. The project combined my experience in strategic initiatives, instructional design, video production, and visual storytelling, translating a complex, multi-year institutional project into an engaging and accessible communication piece for university leadership.
Online Teaching Essentials
I designed and facilitated Online Teaching Essentials (OTE), which provided faculty with essential training in online course design, engagement strategies, accessibility compliance, and the integration of instructional technologies to enhance student learning experiences.
In the fall of 2019, the Academic Council for CMU implemented new guidelines to enhance the effectiveness of online and hybrid instruction. As part of this update, faculty teaching hybrid courses were required to complete and pass OTE under the same standards as those teaching fully online courses.
Master Capstone
Roosevelt & Taft: The Price of Politics was my capstone documentary for my Master’s in Public History. Developed over a year of historical research, scriptwriting, production, and post-production, the film explores the personal and political relationship between Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft.
I served as writer, director, cinematographer, and editor, combining historical scholarship with visual storytelling. The documentary was narrated by Steve Oldfield, Fox 23 Entertainment Correspondent.
